There are so many confusing animal common names. Here are some of my favorites.

WHAT IS THE GOAT IF IT’S NOT A GOAT

The mountain goat is more closely related to antelopes than it is to goats.

My mind has been blown. I mean I knew quite a few of these (like the maned wolf, peacock mantis shrimp and horny toad) but didn’t know the electric eel, mountain goat and king cobra were anything but eels, goats and cobra respectively.
